Merry Christmas!

I was unwrapping my tree decorations and when I got to this one, I thought of you!

I bought him at a church fair when I lived in Scotland and just had to have him.  He is really easy to make; just 6 different triangles.  This one is made of cotton, but he could also be made from felt.

Here he is again with a ruler to give you and idea of size.

Each triangle has been stitched on two sides by machine, stuffed and then the third side just whip stitch closed with a needle and thread.  The string can be added at that time for the legs.

Felt makes a nose, and a few stitches for his eyes.  Mine has some decorative holly stuff for his antlers, but I made another one for my friend and just glued two little twigs from the garden.  I made two holes so that they went into the stuffing in his head.

A loop finishes him off and means he can hang on your tree 🙂
