I thought you might be interested to hear that one of our ‘Block of the Week’ posts helped Region 14 when they held a Zoom meeting in July. This was so that everyone who wanted to could get together to make blocks for a charity – and to see each other, have a chat as well.
The plan was to make blocks for the ‘Siblings Together’ charity. This organisation reunites brothers and sisters who are in care but not together. They hold camps where the children can have fun together and during the camp they all get given a quilt which is theirs to keep for ever. The Friendship Block seemed an ideal choice and as we had the instructions in our blog, it was ideal for them to use. The members were asked to use a pale background colour and fun fabrics for the star. Al the members who joined in did brilliantly and at the moment nearly 150 blocks have been received ready to make into quilts. Here are a few.
Great Work Region 14!
